Submit A Script

Prepare your script

  • Complete and proofread your screenplay in standard industry format (12‑point Courier, proper margins, scene headings, slug lines) and export as a single PDF with a title page.
  • On the title page, include your script title, your name, and your best contact email (and optional phone number). Mark clearly if it is based on true events or existing material.

Provide key story info

  • Logline: Add a one‑sentence logline (around 25–30 words) capturing your protagonist, core conflict, and stakes.
  • Short synopsis: Include a brief 1–2 paragraph synopsis that outlines the beginning, major turning points, and the ending so our team can understand the full story arc.

Optional supporting materials

  • You may attach a lookbook or pitch deck (PDF) to showcase tone, visuals, casting ideas, or world‑building.
  • You can also share private or unlisted links to previous work (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube) that highlight your directing or writing style.

Rights, terms, and eligibility

  • Confirm that you own or control all rights to the script and any underlying material, and that your submission doesn’t conflict with any existing agreements.
  • Before submitting, you must agree to GEM’s Terms and Conditions, confirming your rights and authorizing GEM to review your script internally.

Submit and next steps

  • Upload your script PDF and complete all required fields on the GEM submission form (logline, synopsis, genre, and other requested details).
  • After submission, you’ll receive a confirmation, and GEM typically responds with next steps or a decision within about one week, depending on submission volume.
