Delivery

Source material must be uncensored, and content delivered as a long-play single asset, not split into multiple parts. 

  • PSE compliance testing (to ITU-R BT.1702-1 guidelines) is mandatory for all animated content. 

IMF Specifications 

  • Deliveries must comply with SMPTE ST 2067-21 Interoperable Master Format (IMF) Application #2E. 
  • Packages with immersive sound must also comply with SMPTE ST 2067-201 Immersive Audio Bitstream Level 0 Plug-in. 
  • IMF Packages should be created from color timelines or intermediate mezzanine assets, delivering UHD or HD resolutions as appropriate. 
  • Final IMF package components include: Asset Map XML, Packing List XML, and one or more Composition Playlist XML files per audio language. 
  • For Dolby Atmos titles: include image virtual track, IAB virtual track, and optionally surround (6ch) and stereo (2ch) virtual tracks. 

Audio Specifications 

  • For Dolby Atmos IMF deliveries, 5.1 and 2.0 channel-based audio tracks are optional but 5.1 is required separately for dubbing reference. 
  • 29.97 or 59.94 IMF segments must have frame counts divisible by 5 to preserve integer audio samples; trimming may be needed. 
  • Track files with timed text essence are not currently supported. Video Specifications 
  • Deliver video at native capture/editing frame rates without 3:2 pulldown flags. Maintain original aspect ratio; no acceptance of alternate aspect ratio versions. Video must contain full program with 1 second of black and silence at head and tail. 
  • Redeliveries’ supplemental IMPs may include video inserts or full replacements as appropriate. 
  • Video must exclude commercial blacks, color bars, slates, ads, ratings, warnings, branding, or overlays except URLs in end credits.
  • Video must be non-subtitled (main and end titles allowed but no burned-in dialog subtitles). 
  • Video mastered in Dolby Vision must embed L1 dynamic metadata for color volume transform frame-by-frame. HDR10-only mastered material is unsupported.
